A question that I got asked recently is if practicing meditation helps with achieving a hypnotic state. From my experience, I have noticed that if a person is familiar with meditation they can achieve a state of relaxation much quicker and stay in that relaxed state for a longer time.
So being familiar with meditation does make it easier to go into hypnosis, but it is not a prerequesit.
A person that has no experience with meditation can go into hypnosis with no problems.
