Meditation

Meditation seems to be a new trend that’s going around, but the practice of meditation has been around since ancient times. Meditation is used to help clear the mind. It can also ease many health issues, such as high blood pressure, insomnia, depression, anxiety. Meditation also helps with stress reduction, relaxation, clarity, focus, and so much more.

There are so many forms of meditation, and some people may find it hard to figure out how to meditate or how meditation is supposed to feel. But in reality, there is no right or wrong way to meditate.

I started offering guided group meditation because I knew how hard it was for some people to learn to meditate on their own. So for those that want to receive the benefits of meditation, a guided meditation is a great way to start. Beginners, as well as those that have practiced meditation for many years, can receive benefits from guided meditations.

Guided meditation feels like someone is reading you a bedtime story. You only have to relax and use your imagination as you are guided through the process.   Guided meditations feel a lot like what hypnosis feels like. To learn more about what hypnosis feels like Click Here.

For people that have a hard time meditating, you can try this easy breathing technique. This breathing technique will help you relax, so you can gain focus and clarity.

Firstly take your time and bring your attention to your breathing. Just notice yourself breathing in and breathing out and how that feels.

Now, using your nose, try slowly inhaling in from the diaphragm and belly and exhaling slowly from the mouth. Breathing is such a normal and natural way to allow ourselves to relax.

Each time you exhale, exhale slowly. With each exhale, imagine outflows: all your cares, all your worries, and stress, tension, problems; in fact, imagine that with each exhale, outflows anything inconsistent with your total best health.

And with each inhale, inflows clean and refreshing oxygen. Feel the oxygen flowing into the lungs, being picked up by the bloodstream, flowing throughout the circulatory system, to every cell of your body. Feel the oxygen bringing sustenance, healing, cleansing, and relaxation to every cell of the body.

And anytime you wish to go deeper, you may take a deep breath and go deeper. Taking deep breaths is something we can do anytime we want to feel centered and relaxed. Anytime we feel stressed out, anxious, irritable, or any number of emotions. All we need to do is take a few deep breaths and allow ourselves to become centered and relaxed. Your mind will slow down with each breath, and you will be able to let go of the daily stresses.

Try this every day, even if it’s only for 5 minutes. Each time you practice the breathing technique it will become easier and easier.
